People outside of Asia did not think about it, but for us watching a game was a big effort. Not that C and I fought over the fact that he was for Germany and I for France (although I changed for Germany after the defeat of France !!!); but the games were at night! There are 11 hours of time difference between Brazil and Hong Kong. Yes this means that the final game took place at 3 am on Monday. I am definitely not a big fan of football, but I watch it every two years for the European cup and the world cups; and this final of the worldcup I had to see. We went to bed for a few hours, set the alarm just before 3:00 and crawled to the living room to watch the game on the internet. It was less fun drinking water and watching on the sofa, than being in Germany and having beers with friends, but we did it!
As photos to share with you, no selfie with Podolski or Angie, but the vista of the apartment as the moon was shining on the harbour, and the sun was slowly rising. I think it was the first time I saw the sunrise in Hong Kong !

C'est avec quelques jours de retard que je vous écris ce billet sur la victoire de la Mannschaft, l'équipe de foot allemande.
Pour vous qui n'habitez pas en Asie, vous ne vous rendez sûrement pas compte que regarder un match de la coupe du monde fut très dur pour nous. Pas que C et moi nous sommes disputés parcequ'il soutenait l'Allemagne et moi la France (j'ai changé d'équipe après la défaite de la France...) mais plutôt parce que les matchs avaient lieu la nuit... Il y a 11h de décalage horaire entre le Brésil et Hong Kong; et oui cela veut dire que la finale avait lieu lundi matin à 3 heures!!!
Je ne suis pas une fan de foot, mais je regarde mes matchs tous les deux ans pour les coupes européenne et mondiale; et cette Finale là je devais la voir, non? Nous nous sommes couchés pour quelques heures et avons mis le réveil un peu avant 3h et nous nous sommes traînés jusqu'au salon pour voir le match sur internet. Ce n'était pas aussi fun de boire de l'eau et de regarder sur le canapé que d'être avec des potes en Allemagne et une bouteille de bière à la main, mais l'important c'est de participer!
Comme photo aujourd'hui pas de solfie avec Podolski ou Angela, mais la vue de chez nous tandis que la lune se reflétait dans l'eau, et que le soleil se levait doucement. Je crois que c'est la première fois que je voyais le lever du soleil à Hong Kong.
